Top 5 New Video Games For Christmas 2012

A ton of new video games are set to release during the 2012 holiday season. There are some big names with proven track records on the list. Here are the top 5 that we expect serious gamers will be shooting for:

5) Hitman Absolution: Developed by IO Interactive, Hitman Absolution is a stealth based action game.

The Hitman series is very popular. With a new multiplayer mode and some visually stunning trailers being released a while ago, Hitman Absolution appears to be well built. It has been a while since the last Hitman game and expectations are high from loyal and eager fans awaiting the release.

Hitman Absolution is set for a November  20, 2012, worldwide release for Xbox-360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

4) PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale : There is a lot of media coverage and massive amounts of hype surrounding PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale.

This game brings together the popular game characters from the Sony franchise and adds the ability of up to 4 players to battle each other. PlayStation All Stars has the potential to be a blockbuster for the PlayStation brand and will be a crucial release for Sony.

PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is all set for a November  20, 2012 release for the PS 3 and PS Vita.

3) Assassins Creed 3 : Assassins Creed has been a successful franchise and has provided for some revolutionary visuals and gameplay.

With the all new world set in the time of the American Revolution, Assassins Creed 3 looks to achieve greater heights than it’s predecessors. Assassins Creed 3 will not only have a brand new world to explore, but will also have brand new elements added to the gameplay. With constant updates to the season pass, DLC’s and more, it has been in the news for quite some time and has managed to generate a lot of curiosity in the gaming world.

Assassins Creed 3 is all set for a October 31, 2012 release for the Xbox-360, and PS3, and for the PC on November 23, 2012. The Wii U version will be a launch title for the console.

2) Halo 4 : Halo is one the biggest gaming franchises in the world.

It has a massive fan following and has been successful both commercially and critically. There has been a lot of speculation about the features of Halo 4, but the biggest news for the franchise was the return of Master Chief as the protagonist. With exciting news of “The Flood” as a playable character in multiplayer, the popular Valhalla map re-engineered as Ronarok and a live action series being released, Halo 4 has generated a lot of buzz.

Halo 4 is set for November 6, 2012 release.

1) Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 : Call Of Duty might very well be the biggest commercially successful gaming franchise ever.

With fans all over the world and having sold millions of copies, Call Of Duty has achieved a lot success and seems to only grow bigger with every game. The next in series is Call Of Duty Black Ops 2. The game takes the single player experience to a whole new level by having non-linear missions set in the near future, with new weapons and characters. The multiplayer has had a total redesign and will be a whole new experience even for the hardened COD multiplayer fan(read about it here).

With the recent reveal to the Zombies Mode in Black Ops 2, the game seems to have packed in more action than any other Call Of Duty game to date. Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 is all set for November 13, 2012 release. It may well be the biggest gaming release of 2012.
